MAY'S BIRTHDAY BOM

For May Birthday gal - Faridah Salim
which hasn't been posted yet
 coz
1. I was late
2. She's in America now for a couple of months
3. I'm making something extra for her.... more belated gift!
(err....baru perasan, no signature yet on d block.. cis!.)

The inspiration of this block is from January's Block by Quilt Dad.

It's called "Sands of Time Block".

Instead of 8.5"x8.5" unfinished, I modified to 12.5"x12.5" unfinished

but after measuring, still didn't get the exact 12.5"! Aduss!!!

So... maybe another try on this!

Feb BBM

Feb Birthday Block of d Month for kak Zainah....... It's called Patience Corners. If u r interested, go HERE . Worth trying. I was amazed because it's so easy. Good for a beginner like me... hehehehe...

January Birthday BOM 2012

I took part in a quilting activity this year... It's "Birthday Block of the Month(BOM") Quilt Along. Learned about it in Quilt Group in FB. Terkial2 gak cari tutorials on 12"x12" & found the pattern HERE. It's from BERRIMA PATCHWORK. Free patterns & tutorials lol! Sapa tak nak rugi ler.... hehehe.....

It's called "FRIENDSHIP STAR". Go HERE if you are really interested.
If possible, I'd love to try 'em all.

Dah siap pon! Mcm mudah tp berpeloh2 gak.
It took weeks to finish it! Ayoyo...

Siap handstitch signature lg.... hehehehe...Nak kirim 1 tp buat 2.....X lain x bkn sbb yg 1st block tu (signaturelesss) x cukup syarat.....terkureng inci sikit.... Nk buka balik jahitan? Oh! Tak ku rela....So I made up my mind.... make another one & keep the 1st version for myself... Bijak... bijak....;D

BLOGGER'S BOM- SEPT, OCT, NOV- DONE!

This is my September block....
designed by Sherri McConnel of A Quilting Life my 1st attempt...
OK la but still not so perfect..

Lastly, my November block...
designed by Stephanie Dunphy of Loft Creations I like it but I think the star isn't so obvious... sigh!

Well, I cut my thumb while making the 1st block... hahaha...
(Baru nk buat block, dh cedera..... kena gelak dgn MCA jer..)
I found my kid's plaster & put it on...... A dino plaster... soooo cute...

The next day, I took off the plaster thinking that the wound was OK but...it bled..:P
So a new plaster to replace...
a giraffe plaster ler pulak... hahahaha...
sooo childish but i like....pssttt... the yelow cutter u see behind is the culprit... shhh...

Now, no more plaster... small cut jer.... but can see the scar... the evidence of the sacrifice... I'm sure most of you have experienced something like this or maybe more... As the saying goes.. "No pain, no gain". Byk betulll...

p.s. Get excited after the clean up spring of my sewing room... Tetiba rasa bersemangat ler pulak...;D
